Failing to reveal a new model, Mazda’s future by providing written blow up, a very nice concept forerunner of the future Mazda CX-5 compact crossover. After the very successful Shinar  concept, luxurious four-door coupe unveiled last fall, Ikuo Maeda present the second concept since his arrival at the head of manufacturing of Hiroshima, namely Mazda Minagi.

New interpretation of Kodo Design, mining is a promising prototype lines foreshadowing the next Mazda CX-5. Little Brother Mazda CX-7 and Mazda CX-9, this cousin of the Ford Kuga will be positioned on a segment already highly competitive with other Volkswagen Tiguan and Nissan Qashqai.

Specifically, there is a certain analogy with the crossover to the blue oval, both in the design of the side window or the stern. As for the front bumper it is a very original band Chrome Luminescent suspended on the calendar that ends in the two side lights, a detail particularly elegant and already seen on the Shinar Concept.
The interior is equally attractive atmosphere with a clear focus in particular the combination of inserts with black leather and silver metal inserts. The screen media of hexagonal shape resembles a handheld game console.

Technology aside, the mining Concept will be equipped with the new generation of  SKYACTIV direct injection gasoline engines but diesel, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, which guarantees low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions reduced.
