Subaru plans to unveil Subaru XV 2012 crossover specifications production this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2011. This is good news  Europeans for looking for a small SUV, but also the sign of the signal for a new Outback Sport for North America?

We are coming to admit, but not all that. If you remember, the nameplate was previously used Subaru XV 2012 in the truck-based model of the Impreza Outback Sport when sold outside North America. So far, the 2012 Impreza line include a five-door model and a new sport Impreza exclusive finish it, but no sign of an Outback Sport.

But could the new Subaru XV 2012, as the preview version concept presented at the Shanghai Motor Show, the missing link? Subaru is not saying one way or another, although U.S. representatives companies have suggested that the model is “under review” for our market. Meanwhile, their European colleagues issued a statement saying the “Subaru XV 2012 production version stays true to the concept” and that “will bring something fresh and a new level of excellence in engineering, in the segment.”

Our guess is that at least bring some siding, large wheels, and with a slight separation of additional land on the market, if nothing else.Subaru XV 2012 Look for launch in Europe in early 2012, and – if a business case can be done .

Any transmission of completed electronic distribution of torque between the wheels and the car is equipped with a standard system of exchange rate stabilization, and electronic brake force distribution. In addition, the company says that any transmission, the new generation Subaru Impreza Sedan and Hatchback much less fuel, compared with the previous version.

Primeira foto oficial do Subaru XV

Você conferiu com exclusividade o 1º teaser do XV aqui no CoMdC, mas agora é a vez do 2º e mais importante teaser do novo crossover.

O novo teaser mostra a traseira, ao contrário do 1º teaser. A traseira é muito similar à do novo Impreza. A marca divulgou ainda as dimensões do XV: 445 cm de comprimento, 178 cm de largura, 157 cm de altura e 263 cm de entre-eixos.

O carro terá um motor 2.0 Boxer 16V de 150 cv com transmissão Linertronic com tração integral. O modelo será apresentado em Frankfurt.

Subaru lança Forester S-Edition

Versão chega ao Brasil uma no depois da Europa e dos EUA.
A Subaru anunciou hoje, dia 16, o Forester S-Edition. A série especial tem modelos exclusivos, e é vendida apenas na versão topo-de-linha.

Os equipamentos de série são: bancos revestidos em couro com detalhes na cor Azul Alcantara, ar-condicionado digital com duas zonas de regulagem de temperatura, piloto automático, câmera de ré, freios ABS, distribuição eletrônica de frenagem (EBD), rodas de liga-leve de 17 polegadas e aerofólio traseiro, 6 airbags e volante multifuncional.

O motor é o 2.5 16V Boxer Turbo de 270 cv e torque de 35,4 mkgf. O carro custa R$ 135 mil e é oferecido nas cores preto, branco e prata.

Subaru mostra teaser do XV de produção

O XV de produção será mostrado em Frankfurt.
A Subaru mostrou hoje o primeiro teaser de seu novo crossover, o XV, que foi apresentado como conceito no Salão de Shangai e será mostrado em sua versão de produção no Salão de Frankfurt.

A Subaru disse ainda que "o carro trará frescor ao mercado, bem como um novo nível de excelência em engenharia ao segmento", e que seguirá as linhas do conceito.

O farol mostra semelhança com o da veterana Outback. O XV será lançado na Europa no início de 2012.

Salão de Shangai 2011: O novo crossover da Subaru

O XV Concept adota uma carroceria que lembra a perua Outback, de 1995.
A cor verde chama mais atenção do que o carro.
A Subaru foi uma das primeiras marcas a investir na fórmula que consagraria os aventureiros urbanos, com o lançamento da perua Outback, em 1995. 16 anos depois, a mesma receita surge no XV Concept, que assume o posto de estrela do Salão de Shangai deste ano.

Não é apenas pela reluzente pintura verde que o carro chama atenção. Os adereços off-road marcam presença, com direito a rack no teto, molduras pretas nos para-lamas e proteções na parte inferior dos para-choques que emulam as chapas de alumínio usadas nos veículos off-road. No entanto, os acessórios que sugerem uma aptidão para incursões em trilhas acidentadas param por aí.

O XV Concept foi concebido para rodar nas grandes cidades, que o digam as rodas de liga-leve calçadas com pneus de uso urbano. Por dentro, o visual futurista é realçado pelas três telas que exibem informações de navegação, sistema de som e computador de bordo. Outro equipamento é o sistema EyeSight, que capta imagens por meio de câmeras e as projeta em uma tela de LCD no centro do painel.

Se você gostou do protótipo, é melhor não se animar muito. A marca não confirmou se o XV realmente pode virar realidade. Por enquanto, certo mesmo é que o carro-conceito deve fazer uma turnê mundial por vários eventos mostrando o que a Subaru é capaz de fazer.

Subaru mostra teaser do novo Impreza

A Subaru revelou hoje, a primeira imagem do novo Impreza, que será apresentado no Salão de Nova York. Oferecido nas versões hatch e sedã, o Impreza mostra uma evolução significativa em termos de design, com linhas mais elegantes e esportivas.

Segundo a montadora, o carro terá “um interior espaçoso e melhorias no nível de conforto e refinamento a bordo”. De acordo com um site inglês, a nova geração do Impreza deve ser equipada com novos motores, incluindo um propulsor 2.0 Boxer, que entrega 150 cv. O consumo de combustível também deve atingir níveis satisfatórios, fazendo do Impreza um dos mais econômicos de seu segmento.
Esta é a atual geração do Impreza.

SUBARU IMPREZA 2011 JÁ À VENDA COM NOVOS EQUIPAMENTOS


Com a chegada da linha 2011 nas lojas da japonesa Subaru, as versões dotadas de motor 2.0 ganharam novos equipamentos. Entre as novidades estão novas saias laterais e novos spoilers dianteiros e traseiros. O modelo ainda vem com teto solar e rodas de 17 polegadas, além do detalhe da ponteira do escapamento, que agora é cromada.

Na cabine, o Impreza tem controles de som no volante, oito airbargs com sensores de presença de passageiros e pontos de fixação para cadeiras infantis. Há ainda o sistema SAWD (Symmetrical All Whell Drive), que conta com tração integral nas quatro rodas.

Debaixo do capô o motor continua o 2,0 l de quatro cilindros a gasolina de 160 cv de potência. O médio da Subaru está disponível nas versões hatch, com câmbio manual ou automático, e sedã, apenas automático. Os preços partem de R$ 76.900 no manual e R$ 79.900 no automático.

Subaru releases brand new boxer engine details

Subaru’s new boxer engine details have just been released and the main result is better fuel economy than the existing models whilst maintaining plenty of power and torque.

The new Subaru normally-aspirated (non-turbo) engine is the third generation developed by Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru’s father company, and it’s the first brand new engine since 1989.
Subaru engines have always been robust, fairly powerful and very torquey especially when matched to high-geared ratios within Subaru’s all-wheel drive system. But the engines weak link has always been consumption and economy. It’s not that the engines are bad on fuel, they just consume a little more than the rivals.
Now though, Subaru and Fuji Heavy Industries have improved this area with indications noting a 10 percent increase in fuel economy. This was done through the use of lighter moving parts and an Active Valve Control system for the intake and exhaust.
The new 2.0-litre engine uses undersquare bore and stroke measurements too, meaning the pistons travel further than they are wide; 84mm bore and a 90mm stroke. This helps with torque and reduces the engine’s inclination to want to rev higher for more performance. Figures of 109kW and 196Nm are on offer.
Managing Director, Subaru Australia, Nick Senior said in a recent report,
“This is an exciting engineering development from FHI. They’re renowned for the durability of their engines and this new unit will take the sophistication to a whole new level that we’ll look forward to experiencing in some versions of our best-selling Forester next year.”
Subaru says the new engine will be available in both 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre capacities and will first go into the market with the Subaru Forester model year 2011, which will be launched early next year.

Subaru Impreza WRX 2011 is presented at the New York Auto Show.This new model has been improved and Subaru couldn`t just tweak the engine, they tweaked the body too. Subaru Impreza WRX 2011 has a wider track, with about 1.5″. The body modifications are completed with a new “face” and the 17″ wheels.
The new Subaru Impreza WRX 2011 has the same power specs as the previous model: 265Hp and 244lb-ft of torque.

These are very first spy shots of the Subaru and Toyota joint-developed rear-wheel-drive coupe. The test mule seen in the pictures looks like it’s sporting many body parts from the Legacy, albeit it’s apparent that coupe is much more compact in dimensions. We’re not so sure about the platform but in a previous official statement issued by the two Japanese carmakers, the yet unnamed coupes will be based on an all-new platform with power coming from Subaru’s range of boxer engines.
Judging by our experience that could translate to a modified version of the existing Impreza platform and 2.0 / 2.5-liter naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines. Needless to say that we can’t make any assumptions about the coupe’s appearance from the test mule pics. However, since both coupes are slated to enter production in 2011, expect a Toyota and Subaru concept version to appear sometime in 2009 with the production version making its official appearance in a major car show in 2010.

Japanese carmaker Subaru unveils the 2011 Impreza WRX at the New York Auto Show. The design lines reveal the intention of the manufacturer to close the style gaps between the STI and the WRX models. The 2011 Impreza has a wider body and a more aggressive stance compared to the conservative look of the outgoing model.
The new Impreza WRX has a wider front and rear. It is also fitted with 17-inch alloy rims matched with 235/45R17 tires. Indeed the 2011 WRX is ready to pounce on the road compared to its older sibling.
The 4-door and the hatchback versions still sport the turbocharged 2.5L engine that can give out 265 horsepower. The engine is couped with a manual gearbox with a 5-speed configuration.
The wider body resulted to additional 33 pounds but it really doesn’t affect the performance of the car. The sedan will be 6.5 inches longer and logically offers more storage space than the hatchback version.
The design team also injected sharper bumper corners, wider fog lamps that are blacked out to blend well with the new profile. Some aerodynamic features were also added like the front spoiler on the lower lip.

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, today launches the "Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C", a new addition to the current WRX STI line-up. The model goes on sale today through Subaru dealerships in Japan.

Based on the Impreza WRX STI, the iconic sport model of Subaru, the WRX STI spec C model features enhanced engine and chassis performance as well as a lighter body on the premise of driving in motor sports. The model further strengthens its presence in the high performance car arena by offering sheer excitement and unique driving sensations as a distinctive road sport model, in line with the performance level originally delivered by the Impreza WRX STI.

The turbocharger newly adopted ball bearings for the turbine axle bearing, and the ECU (Engine Control Unit) program was also exclusively tuned. Thus the engine of the spec C model provides quicker response and improved accelerating performance. Thanks to its specially designed front & rear suspensions and improved body rigidity, the chassis offers stable and linear driving control even in marginal driving conditions. The adoption of an aluminum engine hood, laminar window glasses and a downsized battery resulted in a lighter body, which further polishes the model's driving performance.

Subaru enhanced the WRX STI line-up by introducing this STI spec C model, in addition to the STI A-Line model, the AT version introduced in February this year.

Outline of Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C

Enhancement of Engine performance:

-Ball bearings of the turbine axle were newly adopted to reduce friction in the turbocharger. With the optimized ECU programming, the engine offers smoother and quicker response to the accelerator pedal and excellent accelerating performance.
-An inter-cooler water spray prevents rise in intake-air temperature at continued high-load driving, providing stable engine performance and improved efficiency.

Enhancement of Chassis performance:

-Reinforcement of the cross member in front-suspensions offers a linear steering response.
-Specification changes in damping force of suspensions, coil spring rate, rear stabilizer and rear sub-frame bushes optimize rigidity for body roll and retain excellent road-holding capability.
-Rear LSD (Limited Slip Differential) system was changed to a mechanical type from a Torsen type to obtain the steady and powerful traction during cornering.
-Bridgestone "POTENZA RE070" (245/40R18) were adopted to enhance cornering ability and higher grip performance, especially in dry conditions.
-Nimble handling with a firm steering feel is assured by increasing oil flow volume in the power steering system.

Lightened body:

-An aluminum engine hood and a downsized battery, which make the front section of the vehicle lighter, produce better maneuverability.
-Laminar glasses were adopted in the front and side windows. They lightened the upper section of the body weight, resulting in improved stability during cornering.
-Newly-designed lightweight 18-inches alloy wheels are standard to offer excellent road-hugging property by reducing unsprung weight. (17-inches alloy wheels are optional)
-A flat tire repair kit is standard, which also helps weight reduction.

Others:

-A structural change of fuel pomp provides stable fuel delivery even on high-load driving.
-Gold colored "brembo" brake calipers are standard.
-The front bucket seats (fabric with red stitch) are standard on models with 18-inches alloy wheels.
-The "RECARO" seats (Alcantara and leather combination with red stitch) are optional on models with 18-inches alloy wheels.
-Two exclusive exterior colors are available; Sunrise Yellow and Pure White.
-The production is limited to 900 units.
