O Chevrolet Chevy – hatch e sedan baseados no Corsa B, lançado na Europa em 1993 – terá seu fim de produção no México até março de 2012. O principal motivo é a liberação de espaço na linha de montagem para o novo Aveo/Sonic, que de lá deverá chegar importado ao Brasil.

O visual do Chevy é basicamente desde 2004. Por lá, é disponível com motor 1.6 de 98 cavalos, enquanto seu equivalente Classic desenvolve 77 cavalos com o motor 1.0 VHCE.

Apesar do fim de linha iminente, o Chevy hatch ocupa o 6º lugar entre os carros mais vendidos (no período de janeiro a julho de 2011), enquanto o sedan ocupa a décima posição.

A Chevrolet divulgou esta semana o primeiro teaser do SUV derivado da nova Colorado, também conhecido como TrailBlazer, ou simplesmente Blazer.
