Luxgen Luxgen7 MPVLuxgen, Taiwan's first automotive brand, has revealed its first vehicle: the Luxgen7 MPV. With a more curvaceous aesthetic than what is typical of family haulers, the Luxgen7 also features a high level of functionality across three rows of seats.

Created under the direction of James Shyr, former Director of Design of GM's Global Design Leadership Team at PATAC, the new MPV has been specifically created not to look like a box. "I don't like to have that 'box on wheels' image," Shyr says, "so the solution is a well-managed, flowing silhouette and character lines." The DLO upper sweeps down away from the roofline so as not to affect the passenger space, while the beltline accelerates upward toward the rear of the car. This is underlined by a third character line that kicks upward, accentuating forward motion.

Inside, the Luxgen7 features an 'aircraft cockpit' design theme and its symmetrical cabin layout offers space for seven passengers. The IP, influenced by the dome of an opera house, is connected by the piano black center stack, which features a bright silver inlay. Cool blue back-lit illumination adds to the refined, high-tech image.
